From Asociación de Familias Orgánicas de los Cerros Caraigres (AFAORCA) micro-mill in in Cantón de Desamparados comes this fully washed Catuai and Caturra varietal.
Harvested cherries are processed using state-of-the-art environmentally friendly equipment. At AFAORCA, cherry is floated to remove damaged and less dense coffee, de-pulped, then mechanically washed with an eco-friendly de-mucilager, and then dried on patios and raised beds. When drying is complete the coffee is stored and later prepared for export through AFAORCA. The result is a classic Costa Rican coffee.
Light medium roast. Sweet, clean and tart with a smooth mouthfeel; bakers chocolate, almond, and toffee. Very versatile, this coffee can be used for drip, pour-over, cold brew, or single origin espresso.
